\nSpecialties include: travel industry technology; distribution issues; the travel agency marketplace; Canadian domestic tourism, the impact of the environment on travel and tourism, etc.
\nBorn and raised in Toronto
\nCurrently resides at Bloor & Avenue Road with his wife, Dianne, a rescued beagle-basset cross called Ollie and an adopted gray cat, named Mog. Bob & Dianne have\u00a0two children — Ezra and Noah — who are both living on their own and finding their ways in life.<\/p>\n

How many countries have you been to?<\/strong>
\nSomewhere between 40 and 50 \u2026 they wouldn’t let me include the countries I’ve visited multiple times \u2026 and I still argue that a theme park should count as a country \u2026 shout out to my friends at Disney, Universal, SeaWorld and others \u2026 help me out here \u2026 I’d probably be well over 100 \u2026well at least 75 \u2026 but is it really a numbers game? What about the experience?<\/p>\n

What are some of your favourite travel experiences to date?<\/strong>
\nHave always wondered with travel whether it’s the things you do or the people that you meet that make the experience \u2026 I tend to favour the latter \u2026 have met a lot of exceptional people over the years \u2026 and everyone of them has added to my understanding of the world we live in \u2026 understanding, that’s something we need a lot more of these days, isn’t it …<\/p>\n

What’s still on your bucket list?<\/strong>
\nHaven’t made one \u2026 so nothing \u2026 although I might put one together after I win the jackpot in the lottery \u2013 any lottery \u2026 Seriously, though, I’d like to do the Turner Classic Movie Film Festival in Hollywood one of these days \u2026 love old movies \u2026 simpler times \u2026 I mean, somebody gets shot \u2026 you give ’em a brandy and a cigarette and they’re good to go \u2026 if it’s a kid, they don’t get the brandy, they get a glass of water instead \u2026 but they still get the cigarette \u2026 those were the days …<\/p>\n

What’s your favourite part of the job?<\/strong>
\nSitting down and talking to somebody about something that they’re passionate about \u2026<\/p>\n

What’s your favourite saying? <\/strong>
\nAt the risk of sounding like a Luddite \u2013 as I do have an iPad \u2013 my favourite saying is: \u201cI don’t have a smartphone \u2026 I like the quiet\u201d …<\/p>\n
