Kennedy International Airport (JFK).<\/p>\n<p>From Aug. 5 to Oct. 31, American will operate daily service to Quebec City using Embraer 175 aircraft with capacity for 76 customers. The new route complements the airline\u2019s existing service between Quebec City and several of American\u2019s hubs, including Philadelphia (PHL), Chicago (ORD), Charlotte (CLT), and Dallas Fort Worth (DFW) \u2014 providing customers with even more options to connect between Quebec and the airline\u2019s global network.<\/p>\n<p>Paola Torri, Director of Operations for Canada and Mexico at American Airlines, said: \u201cWe are proud to continue growing our presence in Canada during a milestone year for American and American\u2019s Canadian service. This new service provides customers in Qu\u00e9bec City with convenient access to New York and beyond through our JFK hub, including connections across the United States and to key European destinations. At the same time, it makes it easier for visitors to experience the rich history, culture and charm that make Quebec City one of Canada\u2019s most unique destinations.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-210915\" src=\"https:\/\/www.travelpress.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/American-Airlines-JFK-Calgary-Flight_1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.travelpress.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/American-Airlines-JFK-Calgary-Flight_1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.travelpress.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/American-Airlines-JFK-Calgary-Flight_1024x768-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.travelpress.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/American-Airlines-JFK-Calgary-Flight_1024x768-768x576.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>American also launched new seasonal service to Calgary International Airport from JFK.<\/p>\n<p>From Aug. 6 to Oct. 4, American will operate service three times per week on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays using Boeing 737 aircraft with capacity for 172 customers.<\/p>\n<p>The new route complements the airline\u2019s existing Saturday service between Calgary and New York\u2019s LaGuardia Airport (LGA), as well as service to several of American\u2019s hubs, including Chicago (ORD), Charlotte (CLT), and Dallas Fort Worth (DFW) \u2014 providing customers with even more options to connect between Alberta and the airline\u2019s global network.<\/p>\n<p>Torri noted that: \u201cWith this new service, customers in Calgary can seamlessly connect through our JFK hub to destinations across the United States, Europe and beyond. At the same time, the route makes it easier for travelers from across our global network to experience the best of Alberta, from Calgary\u2019s dynamic urban culture to the natural beauty of Banff and the Canadian Rockies.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The history of American in Canada dates back to June 24, 1941, when the airline operated its first flight to Canada, connecting Buffalo, New York, and Toronto aboard a DC-3.<\/p>\n<p>Today, Canada is home to one of American\u2019s key international operations, serving six destinations, including Toronto (YYZ), Montreal (YUL), Vancouver (YVR), YQB, Calgary (YYC) and Halifax (YHZ).<\/p>\n<p>With the peak summer travel season underway, American is offering up to 61 daily departures from Canada to the United States, including up to 28 daily flights from Toronto, 11 from Montreal, seven from Vancouver, and six from Calgary, Halifax and Quebec City each.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"American Airlines is expanding its footprint in Canada with two new seasonal services to Quebec City and Calgary from John F.
