The\u00a0Israel Ministry of Tourism\u00a0(IMOT)\u00a0named\u00a0Taimur Mansour\u00a0to the role of\u00a0Consul,\u00a0Director of\u00a0Tourism for Canada, based in Toronto, effective August 2026.<\/p>\n

In his new role, Mansour will direct the Ministry of Tourism’s initiatives to expand travel from the Canadian market to Israel. His mandate includes building strategic collaborations with the local travel industry,\u00a0tour operators,\u00a0media,\u00a0and airlines, as well as\u00a0managing\u00a0roadshows, targeted marketing campaigns, and content projects designed to connect Canadians with the authentic Israeli experience.<\/p>\n

Yoram Elgrabil, tourism commissioner for North America at the Israel Ministry of Tourism, said that: \u201cTaimur brings a\u00a0combination of deep cultural knowledge, global\u00a0campaign\u00a0experience and genuine personal connection to Israel\u2019s story, and that combination will resonate strongly with the Canadian\u00a0market.\u201d<\/p>\n

Mansour previously served as the\u00a0Director of\u00a0Media\u00a0and Campaigns Department at the Ministry of Tourism in Jerusalem.<\/p>\n
