G Adventures is launching trips to Dominica for the first time, opening up a new side of the Caribbean destination. Long associated with cruise tourism, the new trips shine a light on the island\u2019s rich inland and marine experiences, revealing why Dominica is ideal for premium adventure travellers seeking active experiences and deeper cultural connections.<\/p>\n

From lush rainforests and towering waterfalls to volcanic landscapes and extensive hiking trails, the itineraries are designed to showcase the island\u2019s incredible diversity. Experiences range from invigorating hikes and waterfall swims to immersive encounters with local Indigenous communities and the rare opportunity to swim with sperm whales in their natural habitat, one of the only places in the world where this is possible.<\/p>\n

Based in Roseau, the eight-day land-focused adventure sees travellers exploring Dominica\u2019s diverse terrain, including a visit to the iconic Trafalgar Falls, where twin cascades tumble into cool natural pools, and hiking to lesser-visited falls such as Middleham Falls, the largest on the island where travellers can swim in the mystical mist-filled basin.<\/p>\n

Marine experiences include time at Champagne Beach, famous for its underwater volcanic bubbles, where travellers can paddle and snorkel among vibrant marine life. Inland adventures continue along the Indian River, a mangrove-lined waterway featured in\u00a0Pirates of the Caribbean.<\/p>\n

Travellers will explore Cabrits National Park, home to the historic Fort Shirley Garrison, and enjoy relaxed beachside dining at a local favourite, Keeping it Real.
