These agents, who have completed Tourism Australia\u2019s innovative online training program, will have the opportunity to meet with Australian sellers in Cairns and participate in pre- and post-event familiarizations around the country, supported by Australia\u2019s State and Territory Tourism Organizations.<\/p>\n<p>Tourism Australia Managing Director, Phillipa Harrison, said\u00a0G\u2019day Australia\u00a0is an important event for Aussie Specialists agents, who are\u00a0the frontline travel sellers that actively sell Australia as a preferred long-haul destination and will be critical as the travel industry continues its recovery from the global COVID-19 pandemic.<\/p>\n<p>Said Harrison: \u201cOur Aussie Specialists agents know so much about our country from the Aussie Specialist Program, but we know being on the ground in Australia, meeting our amazing tourism operators and experiencing what they do provides even more inspiration to confidently sell Australia to clients.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Harrison continued: \u201cThe event, to be held in October this year, will provide a great opportunity to highlight what\u2019s on offer in Tropical North Queensland, which has long been a destination popular with international visitors as its offerings stretch from rainforests, to beaches, to the Great Barrier Reef and so much more.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Said Harrison: \u201cThis is the first time we have held\u00a0G\u2019day Australia, previously known as Corroboree, since 2019 and we are looking forward to delivering this important event\u00a0in partnership with Tourism and Events Queensland (TEQ) and with support from Tourism Tropical North Queensland (TTNQ).\u201d<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-171017\" src=\"https:\/\/www.travelpress.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/Australia-Beach-Image_600x400.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.travelpress.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/Australia-Beach-Image_600x400.jpg 600w, https:\/\/www.travelpress.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/Australia-Beach-Image_600x400-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>G&#8217;day Australia\u00a0provides an opportunity for around 100 Australian sellers to showcase their product to qualified Aussie Specialist travel agents from North America, UK\/Europe, Asia and New Zealand.<\/p>\n<p>G\u2019day Australia\u00a0will take place in the same format to the Corroboree events held annually before the global COVID-19 pandemic. Corroboree was held for Asia and Western markets in alternate years, while this year\u2019s\u00a0G\u2019day Australia\u00a0event will be global, covering all key international markets.
